DREAMING FOX

I'm a Software Engineer and Web Developer

About

I’m a dreaming foxsoftware engineer and web developer.

My skills mainly revolve around web development: Making logos, fonts and websites from wireframes to a finished product.

While I spend most of my time on frontend with Javascript/Typescript, CSS/SCSS and HTML I don’t shy away from backends written in C#. (Although lately my go to option would be Node.js)

I spend my free time playing various games and trying to apply my coding skills to those games in one way or another. Either to hack them and see how they work under the hood or make modifications to change my gameplay experience.

Current Projects

Project DNA

DNA is a form of save editor that allows a user to load up their NMS save file and make various edits.

armoury

More specifically it’s a tool designed to solve the imposed limits on certain objects in the game (such as the maximum ships, tools, pets, freighters, frigates, bases) by giving the user the option to store these in a local database and thus freeing up these slots in the game itself. Allowing for a much larger collection and the ability to switch out whatever object they want.

As a bonus for going through the registration of these objects, the user is rewarded with a trading card of the object they wish to store. A card that can then be customised even further by adding all sorts of data where the object is found. Essentially working as a catalogue.

inventories

DNA also tries to solve the inventory management issues that occur in the mid-late stage of the game. Allowing the user more options to manage/order/sort their inventories more easily.

Both these main features are made in such a way that the user can transfer their registered objects, inventory items, and currencies from one save file to the next regardless if they are on the Steam or GOG platform.

All of this is wrapped into a UI design that matches the game and hopefully makes the process as easy as possible. (With a little bit of fluff, in universe bits and made-up lore to keep things interesting)
